Dan Friel

Dan Friel is a DIY enthusiast based in Brooklyn, NY who constructs towering noise anthems out of lo-fi electronics. Simple ingredients are used to create a wholly unique electronic landscape marked with euphoric melodies, harsh textures, complex arrangements and huge distorted beats. Friel has been touring and recording under his own name and with his band Parts & Labor almost non-stop since 2001. His work with both has garnered rave reviews from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Wire, and Pitchfork. Friel's most recent solo recording, "Ghost Town", was released by Important Records in May of 2008.
